How to Organise a Novena on Twitter
This is a suggested way to organise a Novena on Twitter.
Decide on the Novena you want to use and either save a link to it or send the prayer or a link to it to me (DM me for an email address) and I will post it here.
Announce the Novena on twitter: what or whom it's for, where the text can be found. Ask those who wish to let you know if they would like a daily reminder.
Send a link to the announcement to the people in the box below on the right, all of whom have asked to be informed whenever a Novena is to be said on Twitter, asking whether they would like a daily reminder.
(What follows is what I do: happy to post alternatives, especially better alternatives.)
Create an Outlook appointment for the nine days with the text of your tweet, which should contain the addressees, the Day the Novena has reached and a link to the text. All you need do then is go through the appointments one by one changing the date.
An example is:
@CCFather @louiseallain @MenAreLikeWine1 @dilysetc @LibbyMag @sitsio @73books Novena Day 4 http://ttonys-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/novena-to-saint-joachim-and-saint-ann.html
If this takes you past 140 characters simply put the text of two tweets in:
@CCFather @louiseallain @MenAreLikeWine1 @dilysetc @LibbyMag @sitsio @73books Novena Day 4 http://ttonys-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/novena-to-saint-joachim-and-saint-ann.html
@AthanasiusII @idlerambler @pattif21 @matermari @BattlementClare @PartTimePilgrim Novena Day 4http://ttonys-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/novena-to-saint-joachim-and-saint-ann.html
This is a very prescriptive way of doing things but it works. Please feel free to send me alternatives and I'll post them here.

Novena asking G K Chesterton's Intercession for Dulcie
God Our Father, Thou didst fill the life of Thy servant Gilbert Keith Chesterton with a sense of wonder and joy, and gave him a faith which was the foundation of his ceaseless work, a charity towards all men, particularly his opponents, and a hope which sprang from his lifelong gratitude for the gift of human life. May his innocence and his laughter, his constancy in fighting for the Christian faith in a world losing belief, his lifelong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and his love for all men, especially for the poor, bring cheerfulness to those in despair, conviction and warmth to lukewarm believers and the knowledge of God to those without faith. We beg Thee to grant the favours we ask through his intercession, and especially for Dulcie, so that his holiness may be recognized by all and the Church may proclaim him Blessed. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Novena For The Pope To Reaffirm Catholic Teaching On Marriage
On 18 January 2017, the ancient feast of the Chair of Saint Peter in Rome,Tomash Peta, Metropolitan Archbishop of the archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana, Jan Pawel Lenga, Archbishop-Bishop emeritus of Karaganda, and Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana issued an appeal to prayer: that Pope Francis might confirm the unchanging praxis of the Church with regard to the truth of the indissolubility of marriage.
At its end, they ask for prayer:
In the spirit of faith and with filial and devout affection we raise our prayer for Pope Francis:
"Oremus pro Pontifice nostro Francisco: Dominus conservet eum, et vivificet eum, et beatum faciat eum in terra, et non tradat eum in animam inimicorum eius. Tu es Petrus, et super hanc petram aedificabo Ecclesiam Meam, et portae inferi non praevalebunt adversus eam."
As a concrete means we recommend to recite every day this ancient prayer of the Church or a part of the holy rosary in the intention that Pope Francis may revoke in an unequivocal manner those pastoral guidelines, which permit the divorced and so-called “remarried” to receive the sacraments of Penance and Eucharist without asking them to fulfil the obligation of a life in continence.
Let us say this as a Novena: in Latin, if you want, or in English:
Let us pray for Francis our Pope.
May the Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed on the earth, and not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
Thou art Peter,and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against her.

Novena To St Thomas Of Canterbury
O God, for whose Church the glorious Bishop Thomas fell by the swords of the impious, grant, we beseech You, that all who implore his help may obtain, through his intercession, the salutary effect of their petition.
(Mention your intentions here).
Cleanse my heart from every disorderly affection, obtain for me a true contrition for my sins and a great love of God and of my neighbour, that serving God faithfully in this life, I may come to praise, enjoy and bless Him eternally with you in Paradise. Amen
Recite one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.

Novena to St Anthony of Padua
O white lily of purity, sublime example of poverty, true mirror of humility, resplendent star of sanctity. O glorious St Anthony, who enjoyed the sweet privilege of receiving into your arms the Infant Jesus, I beseech you to take me under your powerful protection. May you, in whom you the power of working miracles shines forth among the other gifts of God, have pity upon me and come to my aid in this my great need.
Some pray a Novena to St. Anthony on thirteen consecutive Tuesdays, in accordance with the instructions of Pope Leo XIII, or on all Tuesdays.
Novena to St Jude
Holy Saint Jude, Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need. I have recourse to you from the depths of my heart and humbly beg you, to whom God has given such great power, to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition. In return I promise to make your name known and cause you to be invoked. Saint Jude pray for us and all who invoke your aid. Amen.
Say an Our Father, Hail Mary, and a Glory Be.
Keep your promise to St. Jude and make his name known publicly after receiving the favour for which you prayed..
Novena to Saint Joseph
O glorious descendant of the kings of Judah, inheritor of the virtues of all the patriarchs, just and happy St. Joseph, listen to my prayer. You are my glorious protector and shall ever be, after Jesus and Mary, the object of my most profound veneration and confidence. You are the most hidden Saint, and are particularly the patron of those who serve God with the greatest purity and fervour. In union with all those who have ever been most devoted to you I now dedicate myself to your service, beseeching you, for the sake of Jesus Christ, who vouchsafed to love and obey you as a son, to become a father to me, and to obtain for me the filial respect, confidence and love of a child towards you.
O powerful advocate of all Christians, whose intercession, as St. Theresa assures us, has never been found to fail, deign to intercede for me now, and to implore for me the particular intention of this Novena.
(Mention your intentions here)
Say one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
Present me, O great Saint, to the adorable Trinity, with Whom you had so glorious and so intimate a correspondence. Obtain that I may never efface by sin the Sacred Image, according to the likeness of which I was created. Beg for me that my divine Redeemer would enkindle in my heart and in all hearts, the fire of His Love, and infuse therein the virtues of His adorable infancy: his purity, simplicity, obedience, and humility.
Obtain for me likewise a lively devotion to your virgin spouse, and protect me so powerfully in life and death, that I may have the happiness of dying as you did, in the friendship of my Creator, and under the immediate protection of the Mother of God. Amen.
Novena to Saint Dymphna
We beg You to accept and grant the prayers of Saint Dymphna on our behalf. Grant to those we have particularly recommended patience in their sufferings and resignation to Your Divine Will. Fill them with hope and, if it is according to Your Divine Plan, bestow upon them the cure they so earnestly desire. Grant this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
